Six suspects. Six endings. One detective who can't trust what he sees
The Anomaly Detective is an innovative game, with a structure reminiscent of Exit 8 and the fresh elements it brings to the genre.
In the game, we play as a detective named Silas. Silas is tasked with solving a murder at a hotel. A 20 year old man named Jimmy has been found dead in a hotel corridor, and we help Silas solve this murder.
However, Silas has a problem. He is constantly experiencing hallucinations, and to snap out of them, he needs to close his eyes for about 5 seconds. Silas needs evidence to solve the murder, and he records this evidence using his camera. After checking all the rooms, he must take out his notebook and answer a question about whether he has found any evidence. If he answers correctly, he moves on to the next floor and the game continues. But if he answers incorrectly, he is sent back to the start. As it is a psychological horror game, the atmosphere really draws you in. The whispers and crackling sounds during the hallucination sequences, in particular, keep you glued to the screen. There are six suspects. We search their rooms for evidence. By the end of the game, if you think you’ve ‘found the killer’, you might be mistaken.
The game encourages you to play it again. It’s a replayable game. You may also encounter minor differences when you play it again. There are a total of six endings in the game. The game offers a variety of endings.
The Anomaly Detective takes an innovative approach to the genre and has seamlessly integrated these innovations into the game. If you’re looking for a game with an immersive atmosphere, a compelling story and one you’ll want to play again and again, then The Anomaly Detective is just the game for you!
