Iron Blight is a top-notch post-apocalyptic horror game where all resources are scarce and terror claws at your door. You must survive unimaginable horrors to find your wife, Valeria.
Iron Blight is a phenomenal post-apocalyptic horror game, where you have one objective: Find your wife, Valeria. But that is easier said than done in the harsh state of this new world. With limited supplies and resources and the infected and corrupted roaming the emptied and bloodied halls and streets, its up to you to survive.
The first thing I noticed about the game was the simple yet smooth visuals. The graphics were simple but the grim and dark lighting and atmospheric look really gave it a cool yet tense vibe.
The second is the mechanics, specifically, guns. I loved how the pistol had a chance of getting jammed and you had to pull the slide back mid-combat, also really to pull the bolt back of a rifle with the space key to continue shooting like in real life, it really added to the realism and moments of desperation when a hoard chases after you.
The last thing I REALLY enjoyed, was the ambience and sounds. Every time the floor creaked, when a light source flickered, every echoed footstep and everything other sound sent CHILLS down my spine. It felt like every step I took I was treading on eggshells.
If you are looking for a game where you want to be sitting at the edge of your seat the entire time, then Iron Blight might be the game for you.
