In a move to tighten regulation, the European Union (EU) Commission has published a draft of the EU KIDS Act. While controversial provisions such as an outright ban for under-13s and restrictions for under-15s are limited to social networks and video-sharing platforms, other rules extend to online games. If approved, these regulations would affect all online games sold in EU territories, imposing significant limitations on common features that could encompass everything from Roblox to multiplayer modes of disc-based titles.
