During a recent demo, Archetype Entertainment’s Exodus, reminiscent of the Mass Effect series, fell short in several areas. Despite promising zero-G combat sequences, the absence of distinctive characters such as the mecha octopus sniper left a significant void. While some elements like shooting and role-playing were enjoyable, particularly when players ventured into space, the overall experience was marred by predictable corridor battles and unmemorable protagonists. For Exodus to succeed in the Guns & Conversation genre, it needs to offer more than what was showcased.
